Course Leader | Master in Food Design | SPD | Milan

In 1984, after completing my studies in Interior Design at Elisava (Barcelona) and winning an INFAD Award with my final project, I chose to pursue studies in Industrial Design at the Scuola Politecnica di Design di Milano.

I lived in Milan from '84 to '86 and enjoyed an entirely theoretical, highly experimental, and somewhat transversal school. From then on, I understood the "Design Project" built from abstraction. This led me to work with concepts, and later, I arrived at the concept of Food Design, which I first presented in February 1997 at the Galeria H2O in Barcelona.

The Scuola Politecnica di Design di Milano, now known as SPD, contacted me in 2002 to conduct workshops in interior design, later transitioning to Food Design. Finally, in 2014, the pioneering Master's program in Food Design was initiated.

In 2023, under new leadership, the SPD has appointed me as the Food Design Course Leader, overseeing the restructuring of the master's program with the aim of preparing an entirely new generation of food designers capable of designing, in a coherent and intelligent manner, what and how we will eat in the 21st century.
